George is the East Africa Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) Head covering Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and various Hub-Managed Countries in Eastern Africa.

George assumed this role in March 2022. He is responsible for driving the TTS business’ strategy, new business development, product innovation, client experience and the delivery of the financial plan for TTS. Prior to his current role, George was the TTS Head for Kenya since April 2019.

George first joined Citi as an analyst in the Credit Risk Management Services (CRMS) department in 2007 before joining the Africa Division MA Program in 2010. Since 2011, George has held various roles in TTS Kenya, starting as the Liquidity Management Services Product Manager, and over time managing the overall Cash Product business for Kenya.

George is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic & Computer Engineering with First Class Honors from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology.
