An experienced operational leader, a team builder, tried and tested skilled professional in Information Systems Security. He has several years’ experience both in Sr. leadership roles as well as technical skills in Enterprise Network security, Security Incident Management, Enterprise Security Architecture, Log and Event management and Project Management.

He is currently the Chief Operating officer at Serianu Limited. As the COO, he oversees teams of incident responders, security analysts, system security policy and compliance officers and security engineers. Serianu provide round the clock security services to thousands of virtual, cloud hosted, and non-virtual client systems. He is responsible for and ensures an innovative development environment, the implementation and delivery of the Security services to Serianu clients.

Prior to joining Serianu, he served as the Chief Information Security officer of Airtel Africa in charge of security operations in the 17 African countries where Airtel Operated. In this role, he lead all operational and strategic aspects of Information security for the group and provided advice to the Executive management on systems security and cyber threats to the organization.

He also possess various industry recognized professional certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Sans Certified Firewall expect and Incident handler (GCFW, GCIH). He has a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in High Tech Crime investigations from the University of George Washington in Washington DC.

He currently serves on the National Kenya Computer Incident Response team (NKCC).
