Mr. Mugo KIBATI - an Electrical Engineer by training is the current CEO of Telkom Kenya, driving Kenya’s oldest telecommunication firm through its next transformative phase to become the technology partner of choice in Kenya and the region.

He has more than 30 years of commercial experience working in senior executive roles in the public and private sector, in various capacities, namely: Sanlam Kenya PLC, Director General at Kenya’s Vision 2030 Secretariat and Group Managing Director/CEO at East African Cables PLC.

He holds a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) and an MBA from George Washington University (USA).

Mugo has also served on the Boards of several institutions and is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors of Lake Turkana Wind Power Limited and the Kenya Biovax Institute Limited.
