Joseph M. Nzano has over 20 Years’ experience in the ICT world, half of which he has spent in the area of cyber security management. He holds several certifications in cyber security among other Information communication certifications. He holds a Master Degree from the University of Portsmouth and a degree from the University of Greenwich among other academic qualifications.

Joseph is currently heading the cyber security and E-commerce Division of the Communications Authority of Kenya and also the National Kenya Computer Incident Response Team Coordination Centre (KE-CIRT/CC) in acting capacity.

Joseph was part of the team that setup the National KE-CIRT/CC and has a wealth of experience in managing the operations of a CIRT. The National KE-CIRT is currently ranked 5th in Africa by the ITU GCI rating and has been a benchmarking pit stop for most of the other National CIRTs in Africa. He has a passion in building capacity and creating awareness in the field of Information security. The KE-CIRT/CC serves all Kenyans including the elderly.
